It gives me great pleasure to provide you with feedback on the service we have received from your company. 

To put into context our experience we must give you the background to our visit to Camper UK in Lincoln.

We own a Burstner Aviano i727. We have enjoyed two years travelling across Europe enjoying the freedom to explore so many wonderful places in the comfort of our motorhome. In September we are moving to Javea, Spain into an apartment and plan to use this location as abase for the next few years. We decided to exchange our A Class for a van conversion to facilitate this next stage of our wandering.

We have the Aviano advertised on two web sites but as time was rapidly running short we explored the potential to trade in the Burstner against a new Auto Sleeper. The dealer in Preston carried out an inspection of our van and pointed out a high reading on their damp meter down the centre ofthe floor. Although unfamiliar with the Burstner range, they said that they had encountered similar readings on a Hymer vehicle. They suggested we have the floor checked by a Burstner dealership.

Our motorhome was due for it's annual service and MOT. We delivered  the vehicle to a local dealer and mentioned the readings. We were informed that it would be necessary to have a specialist inspection to determine the source of the high readings. We queried the construction of the van and were told that the floor plans would be requested from Germany. 

We are now aware that the van was checked by two members of the team and a "specialist". We received their findings in the form of an estimate for remedial work to address what was described as 'water in the floor of the van due to a leakage from the fresh water tank or tap'. The cost of the work was estimated to be £3060. They offered an appointment to carryout the work for the end of July. 

They carry an approval from Burstner for servicing and repairs. We placed our trust in their product knowledge and experience and did not question their diagnosis. However as our planned departure date was fast approaching we looked for an alternative service centre that might have the capacity to accommodate the repair on an earlier date.

We found your impressive website and telephoned to enquire if we could bring our van down for the work to address the 'water in the floor'. I spoke to Martin and felt immediately reassured. He asked for the documents from said dealer. I explained we needed a speedier repair and was told we could bring the van in immediately for assessment prior to repair the following week.

It was worth the journey down the A1! On arrival we were greeted like valued customers and friends. Martin directed us to have hot chocolate and make ourselves comfortable while he prepared the paperwork. He then showed us round your amazing showroom and workshop. You have a very impressive and professional setup! Everyone we saw was dressed in Camper UK corporate livery. The whole place was clean, tidy and very well presented.Martin looked inside our van and asked some straightforward questions about the underfloor heating. He looked carefully at the area where the high readings had been detected and confirmed that our van would be thoroughly examined prior to any work being undertaken.

We left feeling satisfied that we were in 'safe hands'.Martin undertook to ring us himself when he had the report from the workshop.We found this caring and personal approach so refreshing.

Within two days we received a call from Martin to provide the verdict on the high readings. He was delighted to inform us that as we had underfloor heating the reading were consistent with the plates and pipework under the floor. As a precaution your engineer had removed the table to check for water in the area of floor next to the fresh water tank. He reported thatthere was no evidence of any leakage or dampness!! I think Martin shared our delight at this unexpected news!

We have now collected our Aviano complete with the documents confirming it is free of any damp. Again we were warmly welcomed (this time by Tracey and her assistant). We had our hot chocolate and paid for the habitation check etc. We have left Martin a bottle and some chocolates as a small gift to express our thanks for the excellent service provided by Camper UK.

By contrast we have made our previous dealer aware that our van has been given a clean bill of health. We have informed them that we feel very let down as their customer and feel disappointed by their lack of technical knowledge.In addition they have much to learn in the delivery of customer service! Having brought this to the attention the owner, they have yet to acknowledge their error and have not found it necessary to apologise.

Well done Camper UK! Our experience shows you to be the"Gold Standard" that other companies should aspire to!

We will be back.....you are worth the journey......you are clearly the best!
